Miasto – twierdza, założone w XVI wieku według konkretnego planu przez zakon rycerzy świętego Jana – Joannitów, znanych póżniej pod nazwą rycerzy maltańskich. Konstrukcja fortu została tak zaplanowana, żeby morska bryza dawała ukojenie każdemu zakątkowi miasta. Zabłądzić tutaj się nie da , każda uliczka wyprowadzi Państwa do morza.

Duże centrum turystyczne – cel wszystkich odwiedzających Maltę. Znajdują się tutaj wpisane na listę UNESCO megalityczne budowle, starsze od egipskich piramid. Legenda głosi, że pierwszymi mieszkańcami tych terenów byli ludzie – giganci. Pierwsze wzmianki o Gozo można odnaleźć w Odysei Homera, gdzie Gozo pojawia się jako siedziba bogini Kalipso. To właśnie tutaj miała więzić przez długie lata Odyseusza.

Stolica Gozo to Viktoria. Nie można w niej ominąć cytadeli – miasta w mieście. Wąskie uliczki, pozostałości dawnych domów , drewniane urządzenia do wymierzania kar cielesnych – ślad historii , zjawy przeszłości, przypominające kolejnym pokoleniom o cenie wolności.

Francuski badacz oceanów Jean-Michel Cousteau twierdzi, że zatoki wokół Gozo to najlepsze miejsca do nurkowania . Nie bez powodu Gozo słynie z pięknych raf, niezbadanych jaskiń i skał o fantastycznych kształtach. Jedną z najbardziej romantycznych wycieczek podczas pobytu na Malcie jest wieczorne zwiedzanie Gozo.

W 1980 roku na Malcie została wybudowana specjalna wioska jako scenografia do filmu Popeya Roberta Altmana z Robinem Williamsem. Dziś jest to głównie miejsce dla dzieci ale dorośli też się nie będą nudzić, można spędzić tu cały dzień korzystając z licznych atrakcji.

Tuż po wejściu w miasteczku witają nas bohaterowie znani z filmu. Będą oni towarzyszyć nam podczas wizyty w Sweetheaven i pokażą nam, jak pracuje prawdziwa ekipa filmowa. Cała rodzina może nawet wziąć udział w filmie, a potem obejrzeć się na wielkim ekranie.

Poznamy także tajniki animacji, zobaczymy dokument o musicalu z 1980 roku i przedstawienie teatrzyku kukiełkowego. Domy w miasteczku Papaja mają swoje funkcje, zupełnie jak w każdym innym miasteczku. Malta posiada idealne położenie na Morzu Śródziemnym między Europą a Północną Afryką. Składa się z archipelagu wysp: Malty, Gozo, Comino , Cominotto, Filfli, wyspy św.Pawła. Pierwsze dwie są gęsto zaludnione, na trzeciej mieszka tylko kilku Maltańczyków, ostatnie to wyspy bezludne.

Stolicą Malty jest Valetta, w której mieszka około 6 tysiąca rodzin. Została założona w 1566 roku przez rycerzy maltańskich.
